ProjecT 1:
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY APP FOR AN ART GALLERY

KEYNOTE GALLERY ARTIST BIOGRAPHY TOOL

My biography tool is designed with clarity and simplicity as the core focus. I wanted to make the design accessible and visually engaging. I used Google's Material Design kit for the high-fidelity designs.

Low-fidelity wireframes

This design was my first attempt at capturing the modern digital formatting for mobile phone applications. It was a great stepping stone toward the final design because it helped me realize what works and what is extraneous.

High-fidelity mockups(first draft)

In my first attempt at high-fidelity mockups, I revised a lot of the initial design. I was using Gestalt principles to focus the user on the "Bios" button user flow. I did not keep this design.

The finished design

I decided to minimize the usage of blue to make it an accentuated color. I worked with a soft black colorization and white text to give the application a semi-formal, but accessible design. I looked into modern color psychology before settling on the accent color, blue, and liked that it is associated with calmness and reliability.
